Where It Started

We Started Small — and We're Proud of That

Nani Cleaning was started in 2019 by Nadia Petrov, a Richmond resident who had spent several years cleaning homes as a second job while raising her family. After consistently hearing from clients that finding a reliable, professional cleaning service was harder than it should be, she decided to build one herself.

The name "Nani" comes from a term of endearment in Nadia's family — it reflects the care and personal attention she's always believed should go into this work. From the beginning, the goal was never to be the biggest cleaning company in the area. It was to be the most dependable one.

Today, Nani Cleaning serves hundreds of homes across Richmond and the surrounding communities. We've kept the team small by choice — because that's how we maintain the quality and consistency our clients rely on.

Our Cleaning Philosophy

We believe that good cleaning is methodical, not rushed. We work through each home in a logical order — top to bottom, room by room — so nothing gets missed and nothing gets contaminated by the room before it.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Some homes need more attention in the kitchen, others in the bathrooms. Before a first visit, we ask questions so we can understand what matters most to you.

We also believe in being straightforward. If your home needs more time than expected, we'll say so. If something seems like it warrants a deep clean rather than a standard visit, we'll tell you — but without pressuring you.

Our History

How We've Grown

2019

Nani Cleaning Founded

Nadia Petrov registered the company and began serving her first clients in Richmond, BC — initially working solo on residential cleans.

2020

First Team Member Hired

Aisha Reyes joined as the first hire, allowing Nani Cleaning to take on more bookings and serve clients with consistent two-person teams.

2021

Deep Cleaning Service Added

Client demand prompted us to formalize our deep cleaning offering, with specific checklists and training to handle the more detailed work involved.

2022

Team Expanded to Five

Chloe Nakamura, Marcus Chen, and Yolanda Thomas joined the team, allowing us to serve more areas and handle regular weekly accounts.

2024

500 Clients Served

We passed the milestone of 500 completed cleaning visits — something Nadia considers meaningful for a small, intentionally local company.
